Fall events on 30A

Check out Some Fall Events on Scenic Hwy 30a

Woke up this morning and the temperature was 55 degrees. Fall is definitely in the air and there are some really cool things coming up for those of you that are lucky enough to be here over the next few weekends along 30A.

The Telluride film festival makes it’s Fall visit to Watercolor on the 1st and 2nd of November at the Marina Amphitheatre . This visit marks the 13th year that Telluride has visited Watercolor bringing award winning short films on a variety of always interesting subjects as well as outstanding documentaries. With the weather changing, it is always a great way to spend an evening outside watching these productions on the big screen under the stars. Food and beverages for all attending are available.  Tickets are available on – line or at the gate.

The 23rd Annual Seeing Red Wine Festival in Seaside, Fl takes place October 31st – November 3rd. Seaside will be filled with tasting tents from around the world with the opportunity to purchase any and all wines, live music and great local food. There is a special event scheduled for each day and tickets must be purchased separately for these events. Thursday evening is the Vintners dinner at Bud n Alleys, Friday is the Al Fresco Wine Tasting in Ruskin Place Park, Saturday is the Grand Tasting and Sunday is the Celebration of Bubbles at Great Southern Cafe.

Taste of the Beach after dark at Gulf Place will be happening on Friday, November 1st  from 7:00 to 10:00 PM at Gulf Place.  This is a very popular annual event that features outstanding wines, great food, cocktails, and live music.

The annual Flutterby Arts Festival takes place on Saturday, November 9th at Rosemary Beach.  This arts festival has become one of the most popular Fall events along 30A celebrating the Monarch butterfly migration on 30A and is geared toward children. All kinds of activities for kids throughout the day as well as food, beverages and entertainment for all ages.

An hour west of 30A in Appilachicola is the Florida Seafood festival. Appilachicola is a great backdrop for this hugely popular festival taking place from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM on Friday and Saturday, November 1st and 2nd.  This is a celebration of 50 years for this event and the attendance is huge with fun for all ages. There will be tons of delicious seafood prepared every way you can possibly think of. There will be a 5K run on Saturday, cooking contests, a fun parade and Kellie Pickler will perform live on Saturaday night.

As always, you can google SOWAL for a complete rundown of the many events taking place. These are a few of my favorites.
