Trip Advisor names Rosemary Beach top 10 Vacation Destinations

Trip advisor names Rosemary Beach top 10 vacation destinations.Dog Man Du hot dog stand worker Jerry Baldwin refers to Rosemary Beach as “Mayberry on the beach.”

The town, founded in 1995 by the Rosemary Beach Land Co. and its president Patrick Bienvenue, is a vacation hot spot that was recently named one of the top places to visit this summer by tripadvisor.com.

According to visitors, the charm, tranquility and the shops make Rosemary Beach special.

Michael Ann and Becky Crawford were window shopping recently at Tracery Interiors, a small interior design shop. Although the sisters were staying in Destin, they chose to drive the 30 minutes to Rosemary Beach to get a vacation from their vacation.

“It’s just better for us,” Crawford said. “It is artsy and the shops are cool. It’s more of our definition of a vacation.”

The people who visit aren’t looking for water parks or the party scene. Instead, they are drawn to the town’s quiet appeal.

With its brick roads and Bohemian feel, Rosemary Beach has a small-town handshake with the pulse of a vibrant city. On any given day you’ll see colorful bikes strewn across a lawn, children playing in the sprinklers, an art show at World Six Gallery or people enjoying one of the many restaurants.

For tourists Katherine Godwin and her boyfriend Ed Brink, Rosemary Beach was a definite spot to hit.

“We’re actually staying in Panama City Beach, but we wanted to get away and come here for the day because it has more charm,” Godwin said.

Neither of them was surprised to hear that Rosemary Beach is rated one of the top places to visit this summer.

“We like it here because it’s peaceful and quiet,” Godwin said.
